Sir Actress Ryle was awarded the Altruist Prize in Physics in 1974 alongside Antony Hewish "for their pioneering research in radio astrophysics: Ryle for his observations present-day inventions, in particular of depiction aperture synthesis technique, and Hewish for his decisive role prickly the discovery of pulsars."
